Actually, the term “woodworking” refers to the process of wood processing. Of course, taking into account the requirements for the production of wooden products, there are many varieties of such processes. If we try to group the most common types of woodworking into conditional categories, we can distinguish the following:

  • Primary woodworking. This is the process of processing raw materials provided by the logging industry – logs, firewood, and driftwood. The processing of raw materials requires a small number of operations and time in general. As a result, the manufacturer receives woodworking products such as lumber (boards, planks and other blanks), as well as a certain set of construction materials – for example, veneer, particleboard (chipboard) or plywood.
  • Secondary woodworking. As the name implies, in this case the raw materials from the primary technological processes are used to manufacture woodworking products. It is the production of all sorts of products from pre-prepared wood.

According to the degree of waste wood processing types can be divided into waste products – for example, the production of lumber or creamed products, and non-waste – the production of chipboard, MDF.

Products of woodworking

The widest possibilities of such a material as wood allow for a huge range of products made of it. First of all, of course, these are construction materials – both logs and beams, and auxiliary rough products (such as boards and planks). The most popular woodworking products for building houses today are rounded logs and logs.

Paneling material for exterior and interior work is another very promising direction of the woodworking industry. Traditionally the first place in this respect belongs to linings and euro linings, as well as block house is very popular today.

The wood floorings have always been in maximum demand for the repair and finishing of the premises because of its excellent quality and environmental friendliness. It is also worth highlighting such woodworking products as wooden windows, stairs and, of course, making the most diverse furniture for home and garden.
